Bodegas Ochoa, dedicated to the viticulture for many generations, has decided to include to its producing products the olive oil, a traditional staple in the Spanish families. Both products, oil and wine, are a part of the Mediterranean food culture.
We’ve got 12 hectares of arbequina variety olive trees among our vineyards of the el Bosque estate, from which we make the high range extra virgin olive oil.
Once the fresh olives harvested in their best maturation moment, we move them to the oil-mill, where we mill them. This extra virgin olive oil comes only from the first cold extraction.
The arbequina variety produces a fruity oil, perfect for people keen on exotic flavours. It has an almond flavour, sweet and pleasant and it doesn’t leave neither bitter taste nor tickle. Its aroma reminds to wild fruits and orchard fruits. It has a high content of linoleic acid, very good for health. It has to be storaged in dark places with a constant temperature.
The oil goes perfectly with fresh or cooked vegetables, fish and barbecued meat. It’s Navarre Extra Virgin oil with Protected Designation of Origin.
