The Aztec country has become the new market for Bodegas Ochoa, where you can find wines from this winery based in Olite.

Bodegas Ochoa continues its expansion all over the world. Last week presented their wines in Mexico, a country that didn't hear about Navarra before. The presentation took place at the premises of the mexican newspaper "Reforma" together with their importer "La Puerta del Sol". More than 200 satisfied people assisted the event. 

During the two hour tasting, Pablo Aguirre, sales manager of Ochoa, explained not only the wines he represents but also did a wonderful demosntration of the geography, culture and traditions of the region. Subsequently, attendants could taste 4 wines from the winery: Ochoa Tempranillo, Ochoa Crianza, Ochoa Gran Reserva and Ochoa Moscatel. As you can appreciate, Mexico loves red wine! 

Bodegas Ochoa, based in Olite, is one of the oldest family wineries in Navarra. Despite the current history started in 1845, Ochoa Family is linked with Navarra wine since the XIV century. Precisely, wine made by the major Ochoa de Ayanz was much appreciated by the Navarra kings Carlos II y Carlos III.

Ochoa started to export their wines more than 30 years ago. Currently, it is a reference in the wine market, both domestic and internationally. Ochoa's production is divided equally between Spain and the rest of the world. Currently Ochoa is actively present in 26 countries of the world. During recent years, the winery is expanding new markets into emerging countries. The latest markets to be incorporated in the Ochoa portfolio are Japan and Mexico last week.
