The wine tasting ritual follows this sequence:
- Sight… Colour
- Smell… Aroma
- Taste… Flavour
Thanks to the sight, we can notice, through the transparency and brilliance, the condition of the wine. Any turbidity or cloudiness warn us and bias us against it.
The smell offers us pleasant or unpleasant aromas, in which case we can leave it without tasting it.
The taste appears when we approach the glass of wine to our lips. The tongue and the taste buds detect any unpleasant flavour and in that case, the refusal is immediate.
