Montijo (Olite):
Our oldest vines are located in Olite, next to our current winery.
El Bosque (Traibuenas)
The most of our 143 hectares of vineyards are located at the El Bosque estate in Traibuenas. This natural enclave is situated at an altitude of 400 metres and a few kilometres south of Olite and it offers perfect conditions to produce different type of grapes with specific characteristics. The clayey and calcareous lands face south and so, a good exposure to the sun is guaranteed. We practice an ecological viticulture, respecting the environment, because low rainfall reduces the treatment needs in the vineyards. El Bosque holds the following estates:

|
- Santa Cruz: It has a spread of 55 hectares with 33 ha of vineyard, 12 ha of olive trees (of a variety called arbequina) and 10 ha of cereal and grass. Its clayey-calcareous ground is deep and draining. The small amount of organic material of this ground makes yields be low. In order to improve the quality of grapes, we’ve been experimenting for years with the vegetation covers between rows together with the Public University of Navarre (UPNA in Spanish). Results have been spectacular, both increasing quality of grapes as well as improving the related agricultural profits.
- El Secadero: It has a clayey-calcareous ground with a lot of big boulders, very cool, always provides us wines of an excellent quality. A feature of this special land is its drain capacity. In rainy years, this land is one of the healthiest and more mature. If needed, we can even step on the ground or put machines on it because it never becomes waterlogged. This is great for the quality of grapes. This kind of grounds (that we also find in our Graciano and La Milla Merlot estates) gives a special characteristic to the wines: certain minerality that makes much more complex and especial wines.
- La Pedrera: It has 5,5 ha of graciano variety. Its stony, clayey-calcareous and sloping grounds are perfect for the Graciano, a very special grape variety.
